Cornerstone Farm offers personalized, individual care for each equine that lives on our farm. We feed only top quality Cavalor Feeds and tailor nutritional needs to the specific animal’s requirements. Cavalor Tradition, and Struccomix Senior Active are our base feeds. We also feed beet pulp as needed and bran mash weekly. Fiber Force and Whole gain available if needed for proper balance of diet.
Our hay is directly shipped from the fields in Ohio to our farm every two weeks. We do not feed any coastal hay. Horses are fed a timothy/orchard grass mix with a hint of alfalfa. Young horses and competition horses are also fed a higher protein alfalfa as needed.
Electrolytes (in summer) and supplement for coat health are included in the regular full board rate. Additional supplements are available if needed and will be provided by the owner. CSF will feed as needed for no additional charge.
Stalls are cleaned daily and rebedded at least once a week with high quality bagged shavings. Water buckets are dumped and refilled daily and are scrubbed once per week. Outside water troughs are monitored daily and also scrubbed and refilled weekly.
Turnout is very important at CSF. All horses are given ample turnout. Summer schedule puts horses out in the early mornings and in during the heat of the day and night. Winter schedule horses are out all day and in at night if weather cool. Sheets or day scrims will be placed on horses at no additional charge. Fly spray will also be applied daily and is included in the board along with basic grooming supplies/hoof care and tack cleaning supplies for all horses boarded on the farm.
